PFlag Safety Harbor
Summary: PFLAG Safety Harbor seeks to build a supportive and healing community for LGBTQ+ people of all ages, their families, and their allies, through monthly meetings, social opportunities and community events. PFLAG Safety Harbor offers monthly support groups for LGBTQ+ families and their allies, as well as wraparound support initiatives and programming. Support is available in person or online, and includes opportunities for healing, education, collaboration, and community-building across parents and families. In addition to our monthly support groups, special programming has included participation in Visible Voices with CSU Pride Center, panels hosted by AAPI Transgender Moms, My Trans Network, and Equality Florida, and our Annual Family Pride Picnic.

The Found Family Collective
Summary: The Found Family Collective exists to enhance the social fabric of the local queer and trans community by engaging in intergenerational programs and events that promote dignity, joy, and connectedness through an anti-oppressive lens. According to their Instagram profile, they are working towards building a more resilient, self-determined queer and trans community in Tampa Bay, FL and working to ensure that #queerfutures become realities. Through their LinkTree, they have links to resources individuals can access, including therapy and Trans resources, links to media appearances, and join their mailing list for the latest updates.
Additional Information: In addition to socials such as Facebook and Instagram, there is also a burgeoning Discord Group that users can join to discuss in-person events and online events.
Queer Expression
Summary: Per their website, Queer Expression (QE) is a grassroots volunteer collective providing multigenerational community spaces for Queer and Trans folks since 2022.QE serves as a vessel for Queer/Trans folks to both build and share resources by developing programming that introduces community to the restorative effects of contemplative practices. The Nest, QE’s local community center, hosts programming daily for various age groups–with a fully stocked kitchen, a library room including banned books, a maker’s space with free arts supplies, a “calm-down” room, a community garden, a pay-what-you-can washer and dryer, and more. Programming includes: all ages, youth, and 21+, as well as trans- and BIPOC-only events.
